A focus on customer service, allied to a flexible suite of products, have made Recyclite the UK’s largest independent lamp recycler in under five years.

For MD Julia Ingleson, this success is part of a planned growth strategy that was built in from the company’s conception:

From day one, our business model has been geared towards a planned program of expansion. We are now in the final stages of a phase that will see Recyclite ideally positioned to meet the increase in demand for lamp recycling that new legislation is creating.

That expansion includes a new processing plant, incorporating the very latest in lamp recycling technology and the capacity to process 40 million lamps a year.

As Technical Director Ray Beazley explains, with technology advancing rapidly the company did not want to be dependent on overseas manufacturers:

Our R &D  team is continually looking at all aspects of the recycling technology. We're currently working on a method for faster throughput that requires less energy, resulting in a more efficient solution that also reduces the impact on our environment.
