A focus on customer service, allied to a flexible suite of products and solutions, have made Recyclite the UK's largest independent light tube, bulb and lamp recycler.
For MD Julia Ingleson, this success is part of a planned growth strategy that was built in from the company's conception:
"From day one, our business model has been geared towards a planned program of expansion. We are now in the final stages of a phase that will see Recyclite ideally positioned to meet the increase in demand for lamp recycling that new legislation is creating."
That expansion includes a new processing plant, incorporating the very latest in waste recycling technology and the capacity to process 40 million lamps, light tubes and bulbs each year.
As Technical Director Ray Beazley explains, with technology advancing rapidly the company did not want to be dependent on overseas manufacturers:
"Our R &D team is continually looking at all aspects of the recycling technology. We're currently working on a method for faster throughput that requires less energy, resulting in a more efficient solution that also reduces the impact on our environment."
